Jim Greiner

Jim GreinerJim Greiner is a nationally known clinician, educator, performer and drum circle leader based in Santa Cruz, California. He has been playing since 1970, including two years in Africa. He performs a wide range of musical styles and situations including contemporary dance bands, theater companies, and television and film soundtracks. Jim began teaching in 1980 and is recognized as one of America's leading percussion educators. As a member of LP's Education Advisory Council, he regularly contributes to LP's educational Reading, wRiting and Rhythm newsletter.

Jim is one of the leaders of the contemporary drum circle movement in the United States. His drum circle techniques give people from all walks of life the percussive skills needed to help relieve stress, and revitalize the body and mind. He travels worldwide promoting drum circles for corporations, conferences, and communities for Latin Percussion and his company, Hands-On! Drumming Events.

He also appeared as host of LP's video, Community Drumming For Health & Happiness which is available through Alfred Publishing and music and wellness-oriented stores throughout North America. In addition, Jim also plays percussion with The Bill Hopkins Rockin' Orchestra at corporate parties and resorts.
