LP artist and master conguero Giovanni Hidalgo and tenor saxophonist Chico Freeman stopped by Latin Percussion for a photo shoot with LP Founder Martin Cohen. Chico and Giovanni recently toured together in Europe and South America, so when the opportunity arose again they quickly broke out into an incredible impromptu jam.
Puerto Rican native Giovanni Hidalgo, is a master percussionist known the world over for his exceptional playing. Giovanni combines the sounds of Latin and Jazz creating his own unique style. With the help of master conguero Giovanni Hidalgo, LP designed the LP Galaxy® Giovanni Series Congas and Bongos these drums represent the finest drums in the world.
Tenor saxophone Chico Freeman is a legend in the world of jazz. Music certainly must be in his genes because his father is the famous saxophonist Von Freeman, and his uncles are drummer Bruz Freeman and guitarist George Freeman.
