Life Time Achievement Award

Carlos Patato ValdezCuban percussion icon, Carlos “Patato” Valdez was honored by the members of ACE, the distinguished Associacion de Cronistas de Espectaculos de Nueva York (New York Hispanic Entertainment Journalists) on Saturday, April 10th, 2004, at the "Latin ACE Awards 2004" as it celebrated its 36th Annual Award Gala.

This year ACE was hosted by Tele-Futura (Univision) international entertainment personality, Charitin Goyco of the popular daily entertainment program, "El Escandalo TV." This much awaited Award Gala honored distinguished national and international Latino artists for their contributions and achievements in the diverse arts. The gala took place at the world renowned New York - Pennsylvania Hotel located at 401 Seventh Ave in NYC.

"Patato" is one of Latin music's most respected, colorful and beloved percussionists. He has devoted his life to enriching the lives of music lovers all over the world with his unique playing style and showmanship. It was truly a memorable evening for Patato, in which the public had the opportunity to show their appreciation for a man who has given them so much enjoyment through his music.
