Elliot Jacobson is a Texas native hailing from Houston. After moving with his family to Buffalo, New York, Elliot cut his teeth playing in bands, practicing in the basement and performing at local venues. While attending college on Staten Island, he was introduced to Ingrid Michaelson. The day before Ingrid recorded her album Slow the Rain, Elliot was asked to join the project. Elliot has been recording and touring with Ingrid ever since.

In addition to Ingrid, Elliot is often called upon to work with a long list of talented artists. He is the go to guy for Jenny Owen Youngs, Dan Romer (producer), Bess Rogers, Allie Moss, Lelia Broussard, Espionage (production team), Katie Costello, Jim Bianco, Wakey! Wakey! and Allison Weiss. He has had the honor of working with Regina Spektor, Diane Birch, Greg Laswell, The Woes, Rosi Golan, Greg Holden, April Smith, The Paper Raincoat, Mieka Pauley, Elizabeth and the Catapult, Cara Salimando, Anya Marina, Abigail Breslin, Guggenheim Grotto, Nick Howard, Rachel Platten, Lauren Zettler, Ricky Valente, Hayley Taylor and Kelsey Byrne and many, many others.

Elliot has appeared on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Late Night with Conan O’Brien, The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Good Morning America, The Rachael Ray Show, Live with Regis and Kelly, The CBS Early Show and others. In 2010, Elliot was honored to be voted #1 Up and Coming Drummer in the Modern Drummer Magazine’s Reader’s Poll.
