LP Americana Kevin Ricard Signature Cajon

Patent-pending, top-tuning design headlines a list of new features

Latin Percussion is proud to introduce an innovative redesign of the Kevin Ricard Signature Cajon. Working alongside Ricard, LP has built an innovative, patent-pending top-tuning method that helps shape the tone to the player’s exact specifications by independently tuning guitar strings mounted to the back of the heartwood front plate. Measuring 11-3/4″ x 11-7/8″ x 19″ with angled top corners for easy playing, every LP Americana Kevin Ricard Signature Cajon (LP1424 – MSRP: $599.00) is made in the USA from hand-selected, 11-ply, plantation-grown Baltic birch.

“Working with one of the most visible cajon players in the world, we were able to fine-tune the playing experience for everyone,” said Victor Filonovich, Director of Product for Latin Percussion. “LP’s patent-pending design allows for convenient fine-tuning of the cajon without the need for standing or moving the cajon.”

Among Kevin Ricards’ performance credits are house percussionist for The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, and the house band for American Idol. His list of playing credits includes Sergio Mendes, Stevie Wonder, Lionel Richie and many others.
