Elaine Bradley, Neon TreesNeon Trees drummer, Elaine Bradley recently became an LP Artist. Elaine is both the drummer and a vocalist for the band Neon Trees. In 2010, the band’s first single, “Animal” reached the #13 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 and climbed its way to #1 on the Alternative Rock chart.

“My very first drumming influence was John Bonham. My older brother gave me a couple of Led Zeppelin tapes when I was 7 years old, and I fell in love,” says Ellen. “In high school I got really into William Goldsmith of Sunny Day Real Estate and Jeff Kropp of Hum. I started paying guitar and singing in a band with a great drummer named Ben Kane. I would have to say Ben is the reason I ever became a credible drummer. I would watch him during practices and we would air-drum together to songs we loved.”

Among several LP products Elaine will be playing LP’s all new Twist Shakers. She particularly loved the variety of sound combinations that could be achieved with the multiple-volume shakers.

Neon Trees is currently on the touring the United States supporting their new album, Picture Show. The tour is scheduled to continue throughout the summer. For more information, you can visit the Neon Trees website at

LP Introduces New Twist Shakers

LP Twist ShakersLatin Percussion has re-invented its often-imitated Softshake-style shaker and given it a new “twist.” LP’s new patent-pending Twist Shaker is a set of twin dumbbell-shaped shakers that are connected with a unique rotating lock mechanism that allows them to be played together in one hand or individually in each hand.

LP Twist Shakers come in three different volume levels: Soft (Yellow – LP441T-S) which is ideal for studio and acoustic performances; Medium (Blue – LP441T-M) which is versatile for use in nearly any musical situation and Loud (Red – LP441T-L) which is perfect for live performances when you really need to be heard. Because the Shakers can be “twisted” apart, musicians can experiment with different volume combinations to achieve exactly the sound they are looking for.

The durable, brightly colored LP Twist Shakers are sold in pairs with an MSRP of $25.99.
