Born into a family of musicians, Kristian Díaz was introduced to music at an early age by the music of his grandfather and father, which included the traditional rhythms of southern Mexico. Kristian and his brother studied oriental African percussion as teenagers. In 1995, they formed the group, Sangbarala Percussion. Kristian has accompanied several musicians from Mexico and the United States including Emmanuel, Kit Holmes, Romulo Castro, Guillermo Anderson , George Voland, Azul Violeta , Grant Maloy Smith to name but a few. Among the highlights of his career are the performance at the National Auditorium, the Miguel Covarruvias Hall, the National Arts Center (CNA), among others. You can hear him play at the famous Antone's Nightclub with local groups and at different Jazz Club in Mexico.
